Johnny Dutton
owner ~ breeder
For the past 16 years Johnny has been working with and learning from horses. He practices gentle and confidence building training techniques with the goal of creating a disciplined and respectful animal.
Johnny has worked on various ranches in Texas, Colorado and New Mexico and has developed his training techniques around those experiences. The foundation of his training is preparing all colts to be 'Using Horses'. The idea is to prepare the colts mentally and physically for a wide range of disciplines.
Now after 10 years of riding outside horses he has finally filled the barn with his own home raised stock. Johnny carefully selected the Stud, Caddo Creek Lena (better known as Caddo) not only for his breeding, but for his gentle disposition and intelligence.
Most colts were foaled and raised in big pastures in Southern New Mexico. They're brought back to San Marcos to begin their training.
