TRAINING - We take in a few outside horses each month. The training techniques are similar to those made popular by the many TV clinicians. Most of the horses we start get extensive groundwork first then, when soft and responsive, they get introduced to the saddle. The first 10 rides (give or take) are done in a rope halter and only moved to a bit when there is no resistance on the halter. The tack and training techniques are adjusted to fit each individual horse, but this gives you an idea of what we do. Our goal is to develope a confident horse that is willing to continue learning.
